    90 Years Anniversary

    From the one man company to the largest international window brand in Europe! This long and successful development and Internorm's tradition and innovation makes the third generation - Anette Klinger, Christian Klinger and Stephan Kubinger really proud of.

    I-tec Secure

    The non-comparable locking mechanism I-tec Secure is standard in the UPVC or UPVC/aluminium window KF520 . Security class RC2N is standard (with lockable handle) - up to RC3 upon request.

    2015

    500,000 entrance doors

    In 1998, Internorm put the first aluminium entrance door with foam insulation core on the market. Next to four aluminium door systems, Internorm also offers two timber/aluminium door systems today. Our customers value the high-quality processing and individual design possibilities. In 2015 therefore, the 500,000th entrance door was produced.

    Start of toughened glass production

    Manufacturing expertise and at the same time supplier independence was further extended with the erection of a plant to produce toughened security glass (ESG) on the Traun site.
    The specially thermally insulating glass is characterised by increased impact strength and is resistant to large temperature differences.

    I-tec SmartWindow

    I-tec ventilation and I-tec shading can be controlled via the intelligent home control. Controls for sun protection and fanlight opener as well as opening control are added later. Mobile control when you are on the way are possible through this, too.

    I-tec innovations

    Internorm develops the first three revolutionary I-tec innovations:

    • I-tec secure: unrivalled, fully integrated locking

    • I-tec shading: first photovoltaic blind in the window with integrated blinds

    2002

    Founding of IFN

    Founding of the international window network. Next to Internorm, independent, specialised companies develop with the aim to use knowledge transfer and innovations of common synergies.

    2002

    Introduction of FIX-O-ROUND technology

    For the first time glass panes are glued to the sash at Internorm. This considerably improves stability, thermal insulation, sound reduction, burglary protection and functioning of the window for its entire lifetime.

    2001

    Start of timber/aluminium window production

    Internorm develops a completely new type of timber/aluminium window system and meets customers' demands for maintenance-free "timber windows".

    1997

    Third generation

    The 2. generation withdraws from the operative business to the supervisory board of directors and delegates one of their children respectively – Anette Klinger, Christian Klinger and Stephan Kubinger – to the management board.

    1991

    Distribution changes to specialist traders

    Direct distribution stops: Internorm products are exclusively available via qualified specialist traders - this is unique in the brand.

    1986

    Windows with integrated blinds

    Internorm develops the window with integrated blinds, a window with integrated sun and privacy protection between the panes.

    1984

    Start of insulating glass manufacture

    Internorm is building its first in-house insulating glass manufacture in Traun and in the meantime has become Austria's largest insulating glass manufacturer.

    1983

    Export campaign

    Internorm is starting to export to Germany, Italy and Switzerland. In Turkey, shares in the company Campen A. S., Bursa are acquired.

    1982

    Production plant Lannach

    A UPVC window production plant is built at the Lannach site in Styria. In 1988 the first Internorm timber window are produced in this plant, nowadays the plant specialises in timber/aluminium products.

    Internorm3

    The revolutionary system "Internorm3“ - 3 panes and 3 gaskets - is introduced to the market with great success.

    1977

    Factory in Sarleinsbach / Start of extrusion

    Internorm acquires a local window factory in Sarleinsbach/Upper Austria and converts this into a UPVC Competence Centre.  In 1979, in-house extrusion starts.

    Second generation

    Eduard Klinger sen. involves his three children Eleonore, Eduard and Helmut in the company with 25% stakes each.

    1966

    Factory Traun / The Internorm brand

    In Traun in Upper Austria, a UPVC window factory is being built. This is also the birth of the Internorm brand. Internorm's first brand appearance occurs at the exhibition stand of E. KLINGER.

    1946

    Building of portals

    Klinger Metallbau is leading manufacturer of aluminium portals in Linz. For the first time large-scale glass architecture is possible through self-developed glazing beads.

    1931

    The founder

    Eduard Klinger sen. lay the foundation for the company with the formation of the building and construction locksmith's in Linz/OÖ.
